WINCHESTER'S now well-established string orchestra, the Winchester Camerata, is to give a concert in support of the fundraising campaign for Winchester's historic City Mill.
The Mill was badly affected by the 2014 floods and there is much needed repair work which the Mill's owners, the National Trust is unable to finance alone.
Conductor Andrew Moore said he was pleased that the orchestra is able to support this significant local project, as it has previously supported other local charities.
The orchestra, led by David Blunt, will perform works by Mozart, Herschel, Elgar and Janacek at St Paul's Church, St Paul's Hill on Sunday May 14 at 6.30pm.
Tickets £12.50 (Students £5) from woods@john-lewis.com, 01962 732487.
