THE talents of local photographers will be on public show for the next three weeks.
The Winchester Discovery Centre is, once again, hosting Winchester Photographic Society’s Annual Print Exhibition.
The society was founded in 1923 and has held a print exhibition every year since then, mainly at the Guildhall but most recently at the discovery centre on Jewry Street.
Visitors are welcome to view the exhibition at any time during library opening hours (Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 11am-3pm) until Sunday May 7.
At the official opening last week, the category winners were awarded their trophies by the current President of the Royal Photographic Society, Walter Benzie ARPS, who remarked that he was impressed by the very high standard of the work exhibited.
This year’s exhibition displays an exciting cross-section of photographic genre and skills, and visitors are encouraged to vote for their personal favourite. Prints and cards are available for sale.
