FORMER Saints star Wayne Bridge will be in the line-up on a celebrity reality show, it has been reported.

The footballer is rumoured to be one of the contestants of the 16th edition of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here”.

The former left-back from Southampton was a pupil at the club's academy and had his footballing debut with the Saints.

After a career of more than 15 years he has now decided to follow the footsteps of former footballers such Neil Ruddock and Kieron Dyer, who joined the same reality show in the past years.

He retired from life on the pitch in 2014 but national newspapers have reported that Bridge will now take on the challenge of the life in the jungle.

The famous ITV show will require him and other 11 more celebrities to live on a camp site and complete challenges in order to receive food and rewards.

The one who will be able to survive to the jungle’s life for weeks will be crowned champion of 2016’s 'I’m a Celebrity'.

Bridge also played at Chelsea where he won the 2005 Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup in 2007.

He continued his career at Manchester City and Reading.

He will now have to show his competitive edges in the jungle to win the challenges and get the rewards that will make him and his friends survive in wild conditions.

However, reality shows are not new to the footballer since his wife Frankie, The Saturdays’ singer, took part in Strictly Come Dancing few years ago.

The TV show will be on air from Sunday 13 November at 9pm.
