FIRE crews were called to a fire in Winchester that was started by a toaster.
Firefighters from Eastleigh and Winchester attended the blaze in the first floor kitchen of Wayneflete Place at 11.30am on yesterday.
The three crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and a safety jet were used to contain the fire, which was put out at 12.15pm.
Crew manger Joslin said: "We were called out to a kitchen fire caused by a toaster.
"Everyone had been evacuated (from the flat) before we arrived. We managed to contain (the fire) to the kitchen."
