WINCHESTER man Jermaine Ford has received a suspended jail sentence for attacking a man.
Ford, 28, of Winnall Manor Road, Winnall, admitted assaulting Tajamal Hussain on January 24, Basingstoke magistrates heard.
He was jailed for a year, suspended for 18 months and ordered to attend a 20-day thinking skills programme as well as doing 80 hours unpaid work and paying £200 in compensation.
Ford also pleaded guilty to damaging an Apple iPhone belonging to Mr Hussain and making off without paying a £15 taxi fare.
