A HAMPSHIRE brewer has been fined £100,000 for breaching environmental regulations.
Molson Coors contravened requirements of its environmental permits at its brewery in Alton, between June and September 2013.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard that the company permitted water drainage into Lasham Drain.
For each breach, which the firm admitted, it was fined £50,000 as well as £31,586 in legal costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
The breaches broke the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010.
The brewery in Lower Turk Street closed last year after losing the contract from Heineken.
