A LENGTHY dispute over delivery lorries driving through Alresford is hoped to be resolved by talks between councillors and the firm involved.
Residents around Broad Street are angered by Alresford Salads' suppliers driving large trucks down the narrow, winding road.
Steve Brine MP will chair a private meeting on Wednesday between the company and city councillors.
A company study showed 117 vehicles used the route per week, down from 340 a decade ago.
Cllr Ernie Jeffs said it was impossible to stop the road being used.
But he told Alresford Town Council last week: "If we can come to some agreement where we can get some in lorry movements of some sort that's what we should be aiming for."
Alresford Salads is being unfairly "targeted," he added.
