CHRONIC thief Christopher Peake has been jailed after magistrates ran out of patience.
Peake, 34, of Sussex Street, Winchester, has been arrested several times this year for stealing from local shops.
He admitted five offences committed on the same day, August 28.
Peake pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of wine from Tesco, stealing a bottle of wine, two bottles of sherry and four packs of beef jerky from Tesco, threatening James Connor, the theft of alcohol from The Winchester Hotel and stealing a bottle of wine valued at £8.99 from BP.
Magistrates jailed him for 16 weeks and ordered he pay an £80 victim surcharge and £180 criminal courts charge.
