THE former home of the Eastleigh Royal British Legion has been sold off to a private developer.

Goadsby Commerical sold the building in Leigh Road to a local residential developer after the RBL put it up for sale for £225,000.

The freehold 1,309 sq ft office building - a former Victorian semi-detached residence - is based in the main town centre thoroughfare and is expected to be returned back for residential use.

Robert Lee of Goadsby said: “This sale highlights the recent increase in demand for office redevelopment opportunities stemming from the change in permitted development rights.”
