A TEENAGER was taken to hospital last weekend with suspected head injuries after he was jumped on at a Hampshire beauty spot, it emerged yesterday.
South Central Ambulance Service was called to Shawford Lock on Saturday afternoon when the boy was pulled out of the water unconscious.
It is believed he dived into the deep water and then jumped on by another swimmer - who did not know he was there.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called at 2.58pm to Twyford. We sent one area response team and one ambulance crew and they were assessing one patient who sustained possible head injuries. That patient was taken to Southampton General Hospital.”
