AN ALRESFORD resident bidding to become Hampshire's next police chief has called for more CCTV in the town.
Mark Rowe says greater surveillance would slow on the rising number of burglaries and misuse of disabled bays at The Arc, in Arlebury Park.
He said: βIt make me angry as I have disabled friends, and some have had to park miles away, just to get to the shops because of lazy people misusing disabled bays.β
Mr Rowe, who ran unsuccessfully for the council under the English Democrats in this month's election, hopes to become Hampshire and Isle of Wight police and crime commissioner next year.
His other priorities include banning smoking at The Arc and more council 'meet and greets'.
