LOCAL charity 3Women drew in people from the cold with a winter warmer networking and fundraising event.

In aid of the Winchester-based charity Street Reach, local women leaders from public, private and not-for-profit organisations gathered at Hotel du Vin to hear from guest speaker, Annabelle Boyes, receiver general of Winchester Cathedral.

Jackie Porter, chair of trustees for Street Reach and prospective MP for Winchester & Chandler's Ford, was on hand to speak about the charity.

The 3Women team joined forces with local independent retailers Cornflowers, Jane McIntyre Design and Tinklertastic to create a range of pop-up shops for the night.

Co-founders of 3Women Liz Trevor, Fiona Whitehouse and Michelle Beck aim to host three events a year, and have raised over £4,000 for local charities since 2013.

Ms Whitehouse said: “We are thrilled that we have been able to raise such a substantial amount for Street Reach, our charity partner for this event. We are also very grateful for the generous clothing donations that will assist Trinity Winchester over the coming winter months.”

Ms Trevor added: “Our aim is to encourage local women leaders from all sectors to network together in a relaxed environment. Our events will encourage dialogue and engagement, but will always have a fun twist.”
