POLICE have released CCTV images following the theft of a Poppy Appeal collection box.
It happened at around 4.40pm on Friday, November 7, when a man and woman entered the Southern Co-operative, in Hambledon Road, in Denmead.
After walking around the store, the man distracted the cashier while the woman stole the collection box, which was at the till.
PC Sarah Newman, of Bishop’s Waltham police station, said: “This was a disgraceful crime which is disrespectful to those who have given so much for our country.
“I would urge anybody to look at these pictures and get in touch with us if you recognise these people, or have any other information that could assist our inquiry.”
Anyone with information should call PC Newman at Bishop’s Waltham police station by calling 101, or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, where information can be left anonymously.
