TWO Hampshire brothers today appeared at Winchester Crown Court charged with the murder of a newsagent.
Jonathan and Samuel McKinley are alleged to have murdered Choudhry Zishan, 35, on High Street, Eastleigh, in the early hours of Sunday, March 30.
Jonathan McKinley, 22, appeared in court wearing a dark puffa jacket and trousers whilst his brother Samuel, 25, wore a dark sweatshirt and trousers during the eight-minute hearing this morning.
The court was told that neither man was in a position to be formally asked to give their plea.
The proceedings were adjourned for a plea and case management hearing on Friday, May 30 with a possible trial date of September 29.
William Mousley QC, representing Samuel, said he estimated the trial would last four weeks.
The Recorder of Winchester, Judge Keith Cutler, remanded both men into custody.
