THERE was fancy dress and dancing in the streets of Winchester on Friday afternoon.
It was all in aid of a good cause, as Wintonians reached into their pockets for Children in Need.
Sue Russell, a Zumba instructor from Milverton Road, Fulflood, did what she does best and spent the afternoon dancing at the Buttercross.
She was hoping to get as many residents as possible to join her for a class.
“It is a bit cold but once I get bouncing around I soon warm up.
“My great ambition for this would be to get everybody up and dancing around with me.
“I do something every year and last year I went to the opera in a tutu,” she said.
Sue has already pulled in £171 in sponsorship and his hoping donations from passers-by will take her well past that figure.
Meanwhile shoppers at Boots were greeted by the unusual sight of staff in colourful costumes, as shop workers dressed up and took to the streets to drum up donations.
