Zac Efron’s beloved pet dog has passed away, and the actor shared a touching tribute to his pet on social media.
The Hollywood actor, 28, shared a snap of himself kissing the adorable pooch, called Puppy Efron, on his Twitter and Instagram pages as he revealed his heartbreaking news.
He said that his “best friend” had passed away and promised they would “meet again”.
On Instagram, he wrote a longer ode to his pup, including lyrics to a song: “Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. I’ll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron…
“Felt hog tied ever since my dog died/
He lived to 84, damn, that’s a long ride/
I know he up there he just sit and he wait/
I’ll be racing up the stairs I’mma get to the gate singing’
- Chance the Rapper.”
Puppy Efron was an Australian Shepherd, and had belonged to the 17 Again star for more than four years.
He proudly showed off his pooch all those years ago on social media, and was clearly very much in love with his pet.
RIP Puppy Efron.
