Jennifer Garner has revealed that her children don’t like her playing a mother on screen.
The 42-year-old actress, who has three children – nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and Samuel, three – with husband Ben Affleck, admitted they tend to feel a bit jealous when she pretends to be someone else’s parent.
“They don’t like when I play a mum,” she told E! News as she promoted her new film, Danny Collins.
Jennifer, whose last role was with Steve Carell in Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, also revealed she cannot wait to return to work.
“I’ve been home for a long time. It’s my turn and I’m going to go to work this spring,” she told Us Weekly.
“I think I’ll work the spring and summer, maybe the fall (autumn) too, as long as some of it’s at home. I don’t think my deals are done yet so I can’t say, but yeah, I’m about to go to work.”
She said that Ben and her will have to co-ordinate their parenting schedules.
“Ben is super busy and I’m super happy for him. I chose to stay home this year and just said, ‘Go for it babe. Do it all. Do Gone Girl, do Batman, do The Accountant. Do everything.’ I want that for him and I’m happy for him,” she continued.
“And he says the same to me. Except that he’s really busy. But he understands that when I really have to do it, we figure it out.”
