Kristen Stewart is to play a lawyer in Kelly Reichardt’s new film.
The Still Alice star has signed on to portray a young barrister in the as-yet-untitled indie drama, which will be written and directed by the Night Moves filmmaker, reported Deadline.
Michelle Williams and Laura Dern are already on board, with the My Week With Marilyn actress playing a married advertising executive, whose husband is having an affair with a lawyer (played by Laura).
James Le Gros, Jared Harris and Sara Rodier also have roles in the ensemble project, which will consist of a series of vignettes revolving around the lives of people in a small town in Montana.
James, who previously appeared in Night Moves, will portray Michelle’s screen husband while Sara plays their daughter and Jared will play a construction worker who plots a hostage attempt after being injured in a work-related accident.
Filming will take place on location in Montana, with a release date yet to be revealed.
Kristen, who stars with Julianne Moore in drama Still Alice, will next be seen in action-comedy American Ultra alongside Jesse Eisenberg, and sci-fi romantic drama Equals opposite Nicholas Hoult and Guy Pearce.
