He's back! It's been a busy few years for Jason Manford since his last smash-hit stand up show but fans of his Absolute Radio show will know this nationally acclaimed comedian hasn't changed a bit.

'Muddle Class' which is at Mayflower Theatre on Monday ( November 12) promises to feature a wealth of new material about Jason growing up 'working class' then finding, over the years, that part of him has become 'middle class' - causing much confusion! Delivered with Jason's amiable charm and captivating wit, this is a show not to be missed.

Jason said: "Somebody said to me on my Facebook fan page, 'it's been ages since you've toured'. I thought 'no way, it was last year wasn't it? Anyway, long story short, they were right, it was years ago! I just got fooled cos I've been on tour doing musicals and the last tour is repeated on Dave ja Vu 13 times a day! So I've been putting some stuff together, looking at my life and how it's changed over the years, how the world has changed and how my parents haven't changed a bit! It's going to be a great tour and I can't wait to see you there."

Hardly ever off our TV screens, '8 out of 10 Cats' (Channel 4), 'The Nightly Show' (ITV1), ‘'Sunday Night at the Palladium' (ITV1), 'Live at the Apollo' (BBC One), 'Have I Got News For You', (BBC One), QI (BBC Two) and 'The Royal Variety Performance' (ITV1) have all helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic.

In addition to the new tour, Jason hosts his ratings-winning three-hour live show on Absolute Radio every Sunday morning. He recently hosted the critically acclaimed Sunday night primetime ITV1 game show, Bigheads, as well as The Nightly Show on ITV1.

In what little spare time he has, Jason runs Manford’s Comedy Club with his brother Colin, which includes a regular night at Southampton's Stage Door at Guildhall Square. The club showcases the best comedians of the moment - both established names and the stars of tomorrow - to audiences across the country.

Jason is certainly no stranger to Southampton. In addition to running the intimate comedy club the celebrated comedian, presenter and actor has been sensational in two big Mayflower musicals: he played Caractacus Potts in the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and also starred in the UK tour of The Producers as Leo Bloom.

The multi-talented performer previously told the Echo on a visit to his comedy club that stand-up remains his biggest passion:"My first love is still stand up. There's something raw and magical about it. You are in charge. There is no director and no OfCom and you fall on your sword. There is something pure about it. With stand up it is about hiding the craft and all the skills you have learnt over the years so it looks like you are just a guy having a chat, where as with musicals all the craft is on show."
