Kate Stables, Andy Burrows, Robyn Hitchcock, Frank Turner, Josh Savage, Chris T-T, Rozi Plain … The list of Winchester artists to have played at the South By Southwest Festival in Texas is long and honourable.
Less well-known is the rôle played by the Hampshire Chronicle in supporting and encouraging them.
Twyford writer Oliver Gray’s new book Austin Healing details 20 years of misadventures in the Texan capital while covering the iconic but unique festival for the Chronicle and other publications.
The book was launched in early September at the city’s Railway Inn.
The book is entirely produced in Winchester, designed by Richard Williams and published by Sarsen Press. www.olivergray.com/austin-healing
