TALK - IT'S THE ONLY WISH I'VE GOT.
Talks, Meetings & Business Events
This talk looks at the role of the National Trust in safeguarding 'The Firs', Elgar's birthplace at Broadheath. One of Elgar's last wishes was that the little cottage would be preserved for the nation and he wrote to a friend: 'It's the only wish I've got ...' Joe Tierney, a member of staff, will discuss the role of the Trust in caring for 'The Firs' collection and historic fabric and also with engaging with the public and the wider community. Presented by The Elgar Society Southern Branch.
