A HAMPSHIRE fire safety firm has taken over a smaller competitor.

Nationwide business Churches Fire Security Ltd, which has its HQ in Chandler's Ford, has acquired Telegan Protection Ltd – its 23rd acquisition.

Telegan are based in Surrey and also maintain a national operation across the UK.

Churches Fire provide services to more than 30,000 sites countrywide with a range of fire safety services including extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire doors, emergency lighting and suppression systems.

The firm has six offices across the UK and employs 280 staff.
