EMPLOYEES were honoured for their dedication at a special event last month.

Staff from RH Technical Industries Ltd gathered at the White Hart, in Bridge Street, on December 18 to honour long-serving colleagues.

One of those was electrical maintenance engineer Steve Mayer who achieved an impressive milestone.

Steve joined the company, then named Gunn Graphical Industries, based on Walworth Industrial Estate when he was just 16 and has now clocked up 40 years of service.

He was presented with an engraved silver salver along with other gifts to recognise his achievement by managing director Steve Steckler.

Alongside Steve, team leader Mark Haylor and operations manager Tony Burd were awarded for reaching 25 years each.

After the awards, Mr Steckler said: “We are incredibly proud of the loyalty of our staff, our average length of service is 14 years and between us our current team have clocked up just under 500 years of service.

“Our staff are what makes our business and we appreciate and recognise their loyalty and hard work.”
