A SOLICITORS in Wote Street has raised more than £1,000 for charity as a result of its Christmas fundraising.
Brain Chase Coles Solicitors has raised a total of £1,269 for Basingstoke Mencap by hosting a festive fundraising evening, to support the charity’s Greenfingers project. The evening was supported by Basingstoke and Deane mayor Councillor Seán Keating.
This will allow Basingstoke Mencap to buy a craft shed to help refine people’s woodworking skills. The charity works with people with learning disabilities in the area.
Basingstoke Mencap vice-chair David Lister said: “I would thank you once again for the kind support of Brain Chase Coles and the generous donation.
“We look forward to this exciting development and our ability to provide improved facilities for our service users in 2019.”
