Southampton-based lawyer Daniel Scognamiglio has been named Travel Claims Lawyer of the Year at the Legal Awards 2018.
Daniel is a partner at Blake Morgan and leads the travel team in Southampton, specialising in multi-jurisdictional disputes, travel insurance litigation and tour operator liability.
The award recognised Daniel's expertise and commitment in guiding and advising clients on travel claims.
He has a particular specialism in handling travel insurance and foreign personal injury matters, advising insurers and the public as a result of accidents that have happened abroad; dealing with general insurance litigation and commercial disputes with an international or multi-jurisdictional element.
Daniel also advises travel agents and tour operators as to the Package Travel Regulations, ATOL and CAA.
After his win he said: “To be awarded ‘Travel Claims Lawyer of the Year’ is a real honour. I am proud to have been able to secure a number of successful outcomes for our clients over the last year on some high value and complex claims."
