Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (Byway 20, Amesbury) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2018 (previously advertised as 2016) Notice is hereby given that on 24 April 2018 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving for all motor vehicles, mechanically propelled vehicles and horse-drawn vehicles on Byway 20, Amesbury from its junction with Lynchets Road in a south easterly direction to its junction with Stockport Avenue.
A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 7 May 2018.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Ansty Pond (Part), Ansty; from its junction with A30 for a distance of approximately 280m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to undertake water main replacement works. Alternative route via Ansty Pond (unaffected length) - High Street - Yule Hill -Rookery Lane - A30 and vice versa. Alternative route via The Square - High Street -Vicarage Road - Tuckingmill - Monmouth Road - Union Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 8 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 10 May 2018. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Orders will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
