COLE Margaret McCubbin M.B.E Passed away peacefully on 9th April 2022 at Ashbourne Court Care Home, aged 92 years. Remembered by many for her long service as "lollipop lady" at Stanmore School, Winchester, and also for her 28 years as Royal British Legion Standard Bearer. Forever in our thoughts. Funeral service on Friday 13th May at Salisbury Crematorium at 2.00pm. Family flowers only please. Sign in to add a tributeI went to Stanmore School in the 70s and I always looked forward to saying hello. She was always so kind and would be interested in what you said to her.
She knew my Dad, who was a bus driver, as well and would say hello to him when he came down Stanmore Hill.
After I left Stanmore, if I was visiting my Grandparents, I would always pop down to see her.
