I was sorry to hear of Jane's death and wanted to pass on belated condolences. Earlier I came across a funny note from her to my Mum, Ann Leonard, née Major, who she was at school with in Winchester. Jane was a larger than life presence in Ann's life for many years. Sadly, my Mum also died this week, which is why I've been going through her papers and searching for her old friends online.
