SIR — This would appear to be the case with Winchester Discovery Centre. Despite four separate requests for the staff to put up a poster advertising the forthcoming production of Cavalleria Rusticana and Trial by Jury at the Theatre Royal by Winchester Operatic Society, there is still no poster on display.
Do they not like singing? Do they loathe opera? Has Yinnon Ezra issued a decree banning the library service (for which he is responsible) from publicising shows at the Theatre Royal (in aid of which he authorises a substantial grant each year)?
It would be a shame if the good citizens of Winchester were denied the opportunity to find out about this excellent show, which runs from November 10-14.
