Winchester is often very good at hiding many of the problems which exist in the rest of the country.

It's difficult to say we're struggling when I can't find a seat in any coffee shop in the city on a Sunday afternoon, when parking spaces are down to single figures on a Saturday in the car parks, and our restaurants are full to bursting many nights a week.

Although we might be good at disguising these problems, it's important to remember that what we see on TV does exist right under our noses, just a little swept under the carpet.

One of the best things to do in life is to stop being selfish - as humans we naturally are - and to think for a second about what happens a little beyond our noses.

When we do that, what we see on TV often becomes reality.
