There are many things to get upset about it in life: world poverty, the fortunes of AFC Bournemouth and drivers who nick the parking space at Tesco in Winnall that you have patiently waited for.

But is there anything as mind-mumbingly stupid as people who visit beauty spots and then leave their rubbish in plastic bags hanging from trees?

Walking Esme across Hampshire you come across it a lot although rarely this double bagging at Farley Mount recently.

Even dafter are the morons who collect their dog's excrement in a bag and then hang that from a bush or tree.

Left alone the poo will be washed away or broken down by the sun in a few days. Stuck in a nice comfy plastic bag it can stay there for weeks. For everyone to see. Isn't that lovely?
