England have kept faith with with their tried and trusted formula for one-day cricket by naming an unchanged side for the second match of the series against India.
The tourists' mauling in the opener to the seven-match series at Rajkot on Friday, when India's total of 387 for five was the highest total they had ever conceded in a one-day international, left England with various selection dilemmas for Monday's encounter.
But rather than break up the line-up who triumphed 4-0 against South Africa at the end of the summer, England captain Kevin Pietersen takes charge of an unchanged line-up.
Left-arm seamer Ryan Sidebottom was considered for a recall after long-standing injury problems but England did not believe he was match fit and may instead look at him for Thursday's third game in Kanpur.
