Activists are to mark the first anniversary of protests by the Occupy movement against social and economic inequality, which led to a tented village pitched outside St Paul's Cathedral in London.
A series of events is due to take place this weekend and on Monday, the date last year on which demonstrations were launched across the world.
Events are to include a gathering outside the London Stock Exchange, joining Evensong at St Paul's on Sunday, and the launch of a book on Monday.
Last year hundreds of people set up camp outside St Paul's after they were prevented from entering nearby Paternoster Square, where the London Stock Exchange is located, and remained there for four months.
"One year on, the impact of Occupy has rippled across society, and the initiatives that sprang from the energy of those St Paul's days is multiplying," said Laura Taylor, an Occupy London supporter.
"The range and variety of events taking place over our first anniversary is testament to the strength and breadth of a people's movement for change on a local, national and global scale."
