£700m divorce row case concludes
One of the biggest divorce money fights seen in an English court has ended.
Financier Sir Chris Hohn and his estranged American wife Jamie Cooper-Hohn cannot agree who should get what share of a fortune said to run into hundreds of millions of pounds.
Lawyers today completed final legal submissions after a private hearing which began nearly two weeks ago in the Family Division of the High Court in London.
Judge Mrs Justice Roberts said she would deliver a ruling on a date to be fixed.
Sir Chris and Mrs Cooper-Hohn, who both gave evidence, are fighting over assets totalling more than £700 million.
He says she should get a quarter of their fortune. She says she should get a half because the wealth was created as a result of their ''partnership''.
Mrs Justice Roberts allowed journalists to attend the trial but placed limits on what could be reported.
She had heard how the couple, both thought to be in their late 40s, had separated in 2012 after being married for more than 15 years.
