An escort has apologised to Coleen Rooney for kiss-and-tell revelations involving her husband Wayne
Celebrity escort Jenny Thompson has made a public TV apology to Coleen Rooney two years after kiss-and-tell revelations rocked the WAG's marriage.
The 23-year-old said she wanted to apologise after England and Manchester United star Wayne Rooney's infidelity with her while she was working as a £1,300-a-night prostitute.
Ms Thompson said she has given up being an escort, changed her lifestyle, become a mother, and is full of regret about her past.
"At the time I knew that and there is no excuse for what I did," she told ITV's Daybreak.
"At the time my excuse was, 'It's a job'. That was my excuse at the time, but now looking at it, it was wrong and being a mother now I can see how that must have felt, to do that to a family."
Asked what she would like to say to Mrs Rooney, she replied simply: "I'm sorry."
Reports broke in September 2010 claiming Ms Thompson slept with Rooney while his wife was pregnant with son Kai.
Ms Thompson, who is working on a book about her life, later revealed she worked as an escort and has been linked with a number of Premier League footballers.
From a comfortable middle-class background in Bolton, she became a regular on the Manchester club scene in her teens and began working as an escort as a way of being a rebel, she said.
"It's weird. I was always quite rebellious when I was younger and I always had certain issues with myself, self esteem, and going into that - there was never any particular reason, I think I was rebelling."
