Dappy hardly had time to eat while he was making new album Bad Intentions
Dappy has told how his weight plummeted because he was "hardly eating" while recording his new album.
The N-Dubz star is releasing Bad Intentions later this month.
He told Time Out magazine: "I've been in the studio for four months solid recording my debut album, going to sleep at 7am, waking up at 6pm, and hardly eating. I've lost all my weight."
The rapper also revealed he is taking a new direction with his music.
He said: "N-Dubz was electronic, but now the majority of it is live. I want that big, one-take feel."
The first single to be released from the album, No Regrets, went to number one and the second single Rockstar is a collaboration with Brian May.
Dappy revealed he would also like to work with Phil Collins and said of the late Freddy Mercury: "He was the greatest performer of all time."
The rapper insists he is putting his bad attitude days behind him, particularly after he harassed a young woman who criticised him on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show.
He said: "That Chris Moyles thing is the worst thing I've ever done, definitely. Hopefully scandals about me are a thing of the past now. I'm a good human being and I've got a warm heart."
