One Direction are tipped for a role on the Olympics stage
One Direction are reportedly set to appear at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
According to the Mirror, the hugely successful boyband will be given a five-minute slot to perform their hit What Makes You Beautiful on a truck which will move around the athletics track at the Olympic Stadium.
A source told the newspaper the heartthrobs - Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - have been "sworn to secrecy" about the event.
"They've been at rehearsals and can't wait to do their bit," the insider added.
Madness and the Pet Shop Boys are also rumoured to be performing at Sunday night's ceremony, which is tipped to include a set from the Spice Girls.
