Kimberley denies Strictly rumours

Kimberley Walsh has brushed off rumours that she will be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year.

The Girls Aloud singer, who currently presents Suck My Pop on Viva, said she would not be strutting her stuff on the famous dancefloor for the forthcoming series.

"I won't be on [Strictly Come Dancing] this year; I don't think it's the right thing for me to do right now - maybe it would be at some point, but at the moment I'm not ready to put myself back in to the glare of reality television," she said.

"Obviously, I've been there before and it's quite a hard thing to do and I admire them."

However, Kimberley, who's on a break from the chart-topping band, fancies expanding into acting.

"I have trained in that [acting] and done a bit over the years and it'd be nice to revisit it if it was the right thing to do and see if I could still do it [and see] if it was a challenge," she said.

"I think if the right thing came along I would enjoy that. I guess it would be nice to play someone completely different to myself."
