Strictly Come Dancing's Ricky Whittle is due to appear in court to face a dangerous driving charge.

The 30-year-old is accused of deliberately driving at a freelance photographer who snapped him after he left a party in Liverpool in the early hours of November 27 last year.

In January, the former Hollyoaks star indicted he would deny the charge.

He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court when the case will be committed to crown court.

Whittle finished runner-up in the BBC dancing show which finished in December.
