Tamer Hassan has said the remake of Clash Of The Titans will "enhance" rather than "change" the original.
The 2010 movie, directed by Louis Leterrier, will be a remake of the 1981 film and will star Terminator Salvation's Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arterton.
"We start filming mid-June and I am playing God of War, which is great," he said.
"I am a big fan of Clash Of The Titans. The original is brilliant. It revolutionised the films for us. It was the first of its kind for CGI, it was very basic. But even now 20, 30 years later, you can still watch it and go, 'Wow, that was great'."
He revealed that the remake will be an improved version of the former film.
"I don't think they are gonna make it different," he said.
"Looking at the script, I don't think you can change Clash Of The Titans. I think if you change it, you'll ruin it. What I think they are gonna do is just enhance it, make it bigger, make it more realistic and make it more dynamic."
