Johnny Depp looks set to play Houdini on the big screen.
The Transcendence star is in talks about portraying the late magician in The Secret Life Of Houdini: The Making Of America's First Superhero, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is apparently similar in style to Indiana Jones and will see the escapologist investigating the occult.
Johnny's producing partner Christi Dembrowski is tipped to be one of the producers through their Infinitum Nihil banner.
Filmmaker Dean Parisot is on board to direct the movie, which is based on a book by William Kalush and Larry Sloman.
Johnny, 50, is currently working on Whitey Bulger drama Black Mass and his other upcoming projects include action comedy Mortdecai and the Alice In Wonderland sequel.
A fifth outing as Pirates Of The Caribbean's Captain Jack Sparrow is also in the pipeline.
