Jennifer Lopez is set to be honoured as an Icon at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards.
The Jenny From The Block singer will receive the Icon Award at the ceremony later this month, where she will also perform, according to Digital Spy.
She is just the fourth person to be recognised with the award and the first woman - previous winners are Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince.
Larry Klein, producer of the Billboard Music Awards, said: "Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation.
"We are thrilled to honour her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage."
J-Lo is due to perform with Pitbull at the ceremony, where they will show off their World Cup song We Are One (Ole Ola) before she sings her new track First Love live for the first time.
First Love is taken from her forthcoming album AKA, which is expected to include recent singles I Luh Ya Papi, Same Girl and Girls.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 18.
