Sally Field has admitted she hasn't been contacted about the Mrs Doubtfire sequel.
The Amazing Spider-Man actress played Miranda Hillard in the 1993 comedy, who is divorced from Robin Williams' character, but revealed on The Late Show With David Letterman that she hasn't yet been asked to reprise the role.
"They didn't call me, but I was the mother that divorced [him]," she said.
But Oscar-winner Sally, 67, hinted that she could still be in the sequel, which has been in the pipeline for some time and was officially resurrected earlier this year.
When host David suggested that she won't be in it, she replied: "Why? I don't know."
David, who recently announced he is stepping down from his late night talk show, also joked that if Sally didn't sign up for Mrs Doubtfire 2 he would happily take her place.
News of a sequel was announced earlier this month and star Robin is already attached to the project.
The actor won a Golden Globe for his performance as a man who disguises himself as a female housekeeper in order to spend time with his children following a bitter divorce.
