Ant and Dec have said that they could be taking Saturday Night Takeaway Stateside if talks with TV bosses come off.

The Geordie duo told the Daily Mirror that they were thinking of having another crack at breaking America with their hit Saturday evening show.

Declan Donnelly joked that the series might need a rebrand for the US: "There has been some interest from the States. We have had a couple of meetings over there about it. It could be called Saturday Night Take-Out!"

The pals took Wanna Bet! to America in 2008, but although it turned out to be a flop they think the right show could still do well.

Ant McPartlin said: "We probably will try our luck in America again. It never really worked because the network didn't get behind us. It would need to be the right show. I think we've got one big push left."

The lads' former Saturday morning TV co-star Cat Deeley has carved out a successful career in America, presenting shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and The Choice.

Ant and Dec will be launching their latest series of Saturday Night Takeaway in the UK on ITV on February 22.
