Cyrus loses passion for acting
Miley Cyrus has said she has lost interest in acting.
The Wrecking Ball singer, who shot to fame at the age of 12 in Disney TV show Hannah Montana, told German Vogue that she wants to be herself.
"I'm just not passionate about acting, because I don't like to pretend to be somebody I'm actually not," Miley told German Vogue.
"Why should I put on strange characters? I prefer to show my true colours as the real Miley Cyrus," the Daily Mirror reported her as saying.
Miley, 21, whose twerking and nudity has hit the headlines, said being in the entertainment industry was liberating because it allowed her to do what she wants.
"I'm not exactly a normal citizen," the singer, who appeared topless in the mag, said. "My profession allows me to run around however I like. Wild outfits or crazy haircuts are not taboo for me.
"After all, I work in the entertainment business, which I feel is a huge plus, simply because in this profession I can develop freely with no trouble at all.
"I'm also completely convinced that every young person has the right to get free of whatever's restricting them. Which is why I encourage everyone to go for self-fulfillment."
Miley said that, despite her antics, she has a serious side.
"I think a lot about politics... There is racism and discrimination. I fight against that. I demand more tolerance, especially for homosexuals, who of course should be allowed to marry."
