George Clooney and Kate Winslet are just some of the celebrities who have received thoughtful early Christmas presents at Madame Tussauds.

The waxworks museum has created a special Christmas display of some of their most recognisable figures celebrating the festive season with their ideal gifts.

Gravity actor George, often dubbed Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, has been given a brand new little black book for all of his dates' numbers, while new mum Kate has been given a tower of nappies and a teddy for her third child, Bear, born at the start of December.

Visitors can also see Colin Firth, who has been given a copy of new Bridget Jones book Mad About The Boy to see how his character, Mr Darcy, is killed off.

Emma Watson, feted as a fashionista but having said she only owns eight pairs of shoes, has been given another pair of heels to add to her collection, while Mayor of London Boris Johnson has received a haircare kit for his unruly mop.

Nicole Fenner, PR manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: "We've had a very special early arrival from Father Christmas, who's decided to give a few of our figures an early Christmas present and we wanted to replicate a scene almost like one we'd see perhaps in some of our celebrities' houses tomorrow."

She said it had been a busy year at the attraction with some exciting new figures made: "We've had so many highlights at Madame Tussauds London this year, from launching One Direction back in April to mass screaming fans and having Adele as well, we launched her figure in July.

"It's been an extremely busy year which we kick started off with George Clooney, launching him for Valentines' Day. Just before Christmas, we launched Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's new figures in time for his 50th birthday."

Nicole said there was also a lot to look forward to in 2014: "We're going to be launching Bobby Moore, a wax figure of the footballing legend in time for the World Cup, so keep your eyes peeled for the legend that is Moore when he arrives in the springtime."

Madame Tussauds is open every day except Christmas Day over the festive period.
