Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski are to work together on animated movie The Wind Rises.

The stars - who are expecting their first baby together - are part of the English-language voice cast for the movie, which was Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki's final project before retirement.

Variety reported that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play the lead character of Jiro Horikoshi in the movie, which is a fantasy-filled look at the man who designed Japan's World War II fighter planes.

John will play Jiro's friend Honjo, with Emily as his love interest.

Other stars who will voice characters in the film include Stanley Tucci - who is married to Emily's sister Felicity Blunt - and Elijah Wood.

The Wind Rises was a big hit when it was released in Japan earlier this year.

Soon afterwards d irector Miyazaki announced it would be his final movie.
