Marsden: I napped during breaks
James Marsden has revealed that he had to take naps in between filming scenes, because he got tired from laughing.
The 40-year-old stars in the comedy sequel as Ron Burgundy's (Will Ferrell) rival newsreader Jack Lime, alongside returning cast members Will, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner.
"There was so much fun with the scenes that in the downtime, you actually just take a nap. You get tired of laughing," he said.
He added: "There's plenty of laughs for sure. You had to be thick-skinned to be on that set, but it was all out of love."
James revealed he auditioned for a role in the first Anchorman film, but failed to win the part.
"I auditioned for the first one about 10 years ago and then I became a fan of it. It's rare you get to be part of a movie that you're a big fan of," he said.
The actor admitted he was slightly starstruck when he first arrived on the set: " I was, I definitely was. But once you get on set, it's like you're in their living room - it's a bunch of really great guys who are very welcoming of new talent."
Meanwhile, Meagan Good admitted she cried when she first found out she won the role of TV channel chief Linda Jackson.
"I was such a massive fan that when I found out I got the part, I actually cried. And I was alone!" she said, adding: "I tried to play it cool on set, but when my sister came on set, every time Will would come around, she would hide from him. It was the cutest thing."
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues opens in cinemas on December 18.
