The filmmaker is set to direct the movie adaptation of the 60s television show and while several cast members have been announced it wasn't known who would play the baddie.
However, Deadline reports that Italian actor Luca Calvani has now bagged the role of Alexander, described as "a wealthy Italian shipping heir who smuggled Nazi gold at end of WWII".
The actor is best known for 2010's When In Rome.
Luca joins Armie Hammer, Jared Harris, Hugh Grant, Alicia Vikander and Henry Cavill in the adaptation of the TV series, which ran from 1964 to 1968.
Man Of Steel star Henry will play special agent Napoleon Solo who works for the United Network Command For Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.), a role Tom Cruise was previously tipped for.
Lone Ranger star Armie will portray agent Illya Kuryakin and Anna Karenina actress Alicia has landed the female lead.
Golden Globe winner Hugh has been cast as the head of British Naval Intelligence.
