Keira Knightley has been cast as Coco Chanel
Keira Knightley is to star as Coco Chanel in a new short film directed by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, according to reports.
According to WWD, the film, featuring Keira as legendary designer Coco and shot in Paris, will be screened in early May.
The Anna Karenina actress already stars in Chanel's perfume ads.
The film marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the first Chanel fashion boutique.
Alongside Keira as the French designer, French actress Clotilde Hesme has been cast as Chanel's aunt Adrienne.
